I'm Ishita Tiwari — I got into data science by chasing curiosity, not a checklist. I care less about a model's accuracy score and more about why it's right, or wrong.

I like building things end-to-end: a deep learning system that detects diabetic retinopathy (0.94 QWK), and a gait recognition model that identifies people by how they walk (91% accuracy). I've also co-authored a research paper, "ANN-Based Predictive Model for Employee Attrition in an Organization," presented at an international conference on computing systems.

Right now, I'm looking for an entry-level role or internship in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Machine Learning — somewhere I can keep learning by building.

  • Writing on Medium about the gap between what a model scores and what a model actually gets right
  • Deepening my grasp of deep learning architectures beyond CNNs — exploring transformers for vision tasks
  • Practicing SQL and BI storytelling on public datasets to sharpen how I present findings, not just compute them
